Yellow cucumber cooked with tomato and potato

When we(roommate and self)are tired with our usual cooking, we browse through the cookbook compiled from back home. We are sure to hit one sure shot in the form of a delicious dish by doing that. We chanced upon dosakaya kura with tomato and aloo(Cucumber(yellow)with tomato and potato). And guess what, we had all those in our kitchen. This is a preparation with subtle flavour and beautiful color. This is how I made it:

Ingredients:
yellow cucumber - 1(medium sized)
onion - 1
tomato - 1
potato - 1
green chillies - 1-2
water - 3-4 tb spoons
coriander powder - 1/4 tb spoon
jeera powder - 1/4 tb spoon
turmeric powder - 1/4 spoon
Salt - 1/2 tp spoon(adjust)
Seasoning/tadka
oil - 1 spoon
mustard seeds - 1/4 spoon
jeera/cumin - 1/4 spoon
red chillies - 2
curry leaves - 1 sprig
Procedure:
1. Heat oil in a wide pan. When it is hot enough add mustard seeds,jeera,red chillies and curryleaves.
2. Now add finely chopped onion and green chillies to the seasing when it turns to nice brown. After frying the onions for 2minutes,add turmeric,jeera,coriander powders and combine.
3. Now add cucumber pieces and salt to the mixture and toss for a minute.
4. Add cubed potato and tomato pieces and mix well together.See to it that all the powders are evenly coated on vegetable pieces.
5. Let the vegetables cook by sprinking water to avoid sticking to the pan. When cucumber pieces turn transparent and potato pieces look cooked,taste for salt and switch off flame.
This goes well with roti/rice. This sounds like a medley of andhra and north indian cuisine for me.
